Casio and Microsoft Signed a Patent Licensing Agreement

Casio Computer Co., Ltd, a major Japanese electronics manufacturer, and U.S. company, Microsoft Corporation, signed a new patent licensing agreement in April.

The field of this agreement relates to the Smart Watch.

The Casio Smart Watch is a device for outdoor use and is equipped with various sensors such as a pressure sensor, an orientation sensor and an accelerometer. By linking with a smartphone a user can obtain and is provided with a variety of information.

Microsoft Corporation commented that by combining Casio’s Smart Watch and Microsoft’s patented technology, they will be able to spread wearable devices around the world.
