Makoto KURODA
BIOGRAPHYMakoto KURODA is a registered patent attorney in Japan. He is a graduate of Keio University, LL.B. After completing the university, he began working in the field of intellectual property in 1985.
Mr. KURODA passed the patent bar examination and was registered to practice before the Japan Patent Office in 2004. He has been working for IP law firms as a professional staff member and then a patent attorney ever since. He has gained extensive experience in handling tasks related to trademark and design registration including application filing and preventing unfair competition/infringing products in foreign countries for clients in a wide range of business fields such as chemistry, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, apparel, electrical/electronics, machinery, software, food, telecommunications, and education.
Mr. KURODA took on-the-job training to learn about US and UK trademark practices at the US law firm Ladas & Parry in 1990, and the British law firm Langner Parry and the US law firm Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner in 1991.
Mr. KURODA always listens to clients’ needs and assists them with his meticulous and courteous service. He offers his services in Japanese and English.
