Kayoko SAKAMOTO
BIOGRAPHYKayoko SAKAMOTO studied chemistry at Ehime University's Faculty of Science.
In 2014 Ms. Sakamoto passed the Japanese patent attorney examination and was registered as a patent attorney in Japan.
After graduating from the university, she began working for NEC Corporation in the Semiconductor Division where she worked on the process development of SRAM for superconductor installation.
Later, Ms. Sakamoto worked on Japanese and foreign patent applications related to areas such as semiconductors, functional materials, polymers and cosmetics at a Japanese patent firm.
At Sakamoto and Partners, she uses her experience of product development and her knowledge of intellectual property to help client's acquire the widest range of rights that meets the client's needs.
In addition, Ms. Sakamoto is involved with various intellectual property related searches. She conducts infringement searches, invalidation searches, appraisals, as well as prior art searches for companies which aid in the launch of new commercial products. Whether she is conducting a search for the development of new products or to aid in infringement litigation, Ms. Sakamoto always strives to provide clients with the strongest intellectual property support possible.
PRACTICE AREASMs. Sakamoto is a certified patent attorney who specializes in affairs related to Intellectual Property rights. She has done work in the areas of prosecution, prior art searches, appeals and litigation related to patents particularly in the area of organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry and semiconductors.
