BIOGRAPHY Yoichi MARUYAMA is a registered patent attorney in Japan. After completing postgraduate studies in polymer engineering at the Tokyo Institute of Technology Graduate School of Science and Engineering, he joined Fujifilm Corporation, where he was engaged in materials research and development, from basic research to product development of various materials such as photosensitive materials, display materials, nanoparticles, color filter materials, and thermoelectric conversion materials. He was also involved in the establishment and promotion of a national project on lithium-ion batteries at the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
Through many years of research and development, he has acquired the ability to correctly perceive things and understand their essence. In addition, he has extensive experience in formulating patent strategies as well as defining his own inventions in claims and drafting specifications. Drawing on his experience, he assists his clients in obtaining rights to their intellectual property in keeping with his motto of thinking from the client’s point of view.
